Preethi R has been a passionate social worker and animal welfare advocate in Chennai since 2013, dedicating over a decade to giving voice to the voiceless.
As a PETA India Humane Education & Cruelty Intervention Volunteer since November 2025, she responds to animal cruelty cases through compassionate community engagement. Her unique approach—choosing education over confrontation—has transformed hostile pet owners into compassionate caregivers, liberating animals from abuse and neglect.
Since 2013, Preethi has personally rescued hundreds of injured and abandoned animals, coordinated adoptions as an Animal Adoption Coordinator, and conducted humane education sessions in schools. Beyond animal welfare, she has impacted thousands through road safety training, performing in old age homes with Nakshatraaz Troop, volunteering at Camp Rainbow for HIV-positive children, and leading her #feedthevoiceless project to feed stray dogs across rural Tamil Nadu.
